Here is TheMoon Widget on a Home Screen showing the Moon Phase and the Hijri Date.

Clicking on the Widget will invoke the TheMoon App.

To install the widget click the Menu key from a Home Screen.

To remove a widget from a home screen, touch the widget and continue holding it until a trash can appears at the bottom of the screen. Then drag the widget to the trash can, and it will disappear. But you can install it again, if needed.
